Extremely cold weather, accompanied by rain, mist and strong winds are currently being experienced along parts of the N3 Toll Route, including Van Reenen’s Pass. Visibility along sections of the route is poor.
Road users are advised to proceed with caution. Reduce speed, increase following distances and keep headlights switched on.
No snowfall has been reported along the N3 Toll Route and according to South African Weather Service no snowfalls are currently predicted along the route. However, current weather warnings remain in place for the other parts of KwaZulu-Natal, including the Underberg, Giant’s Castle and Kokstad regions.
Weather conditons may, however, change rapidly. It, therefore, remains important to stay alert and informed at all times.
